[Saba Sports News] Max Verstappen, the current
Red Bull Racing driver in Formula 1, was recently interviewed by the media.
During the interview, Verstappen was asked a thought-provoking question about
his own future. If he were to establish his own team and become the team boss,
which drivers would he choose for his team? After careful consideration,
Verstappen mentioned McLaren’s two drivers, Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri.
Verstappen expressed optimism about the future potential of these two McLaren talents.
Verstappen stated, “Norris is only slightly older than Oscar. Oscar is a
fast rookie, and he still has a lot to learn, such as increasing his race pace.
But in my opinion, he is a clever individual, and he will achieve race
victories.” In the past couple of years, both drivers have gained
recognition at a young age and have achieved notable accomplishments shortly
after their debuts. Piastri won the 2020 FIA Formula 3 Championship and the
2021 FIA Formula 2 Championship, while Norris finished as the runner-up for the
2018 F2 Drivers of the Year award. The editor believes that with time and
experience, the future prospects of Norris and Piastri are immeasurable and
could potentially rank only behind Verstappen in terms of success.
