Sports News] According to reports from Portuguese media, F1 Red Bull Racing
driver Max Verstappen, who is currently vacationing in Portugal, recently
encountered a situation where he was refused a sports car rental due to his
age. During his vacation in Portugal, Max Verstappen expressed his desire to
rent a sports car and experience the Portimao Circuit. However, when he arrived
at the track, he was informed that the previously reserved Mercedes-Benz AMG GT
sports car could not be rented to him because the car rental company had a
policy of not renting high-performance vehicles to individuals under the age of
30. Verstappen, who is currently 26 years old, was thus denied the rental. The
Mercedes-Benz AMG GT has a top speed of 195.7 miles per hour, whereas
Verstappen’s Red Bull RB19 racing car can reach speeds of 210 miles per hour.
This incident sparked debates within racing circles, with many car enthusiasts
and netizens commenting on social media platforms, jokingly questioning whether
210 miles per hour is considered fast for Verstappen and suggesting that such
regulations would disqualify more than half of the current drivers.
