Sports News] In early February, each F1 team revealed their new cars and
liveries for the upcoming season. However, the car liveries have not brought a
fresh look this year. Teams such as McLaren, Sauber, and Haas have opted for
extensive exposed carbon fiber structures and some colorful paint combinations.
External media has expressed dissatisfaction, claiming that the teams are
neglecting eye-catching paint designs and focusing solely on reducing the
weight of the cars. While teams have started reducing the amount of paint used
to meet the minimum vehicle weight limit established in 2022, there are few
indications that they will reintroduce vibrant paint as the cars continue to
shed weight. The teams’ hopes of returning to racing colors have been shattered.
F1 has minimal regulations regarding car paint design, with the only
possibility being the use of different colors for the T-frames to differentiate
drivers within the same team. This is because historically, either the team’s
identity is already distinct or sponsors invest significant funds in painting
the team’s cars in colors resembling their own brands.
