[Saba Sports News] Initially, Tyrese Haliburton’s injury during Monday’s game seemed severe, but recent updates have brought a more positive outlook for the Indiana Pacers guard.
According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Haliburton has a Grade 1 strain in his left hamstring. He’s scheduled for reevaluation in two weeks, and the Pacers are reportedly feeling relieved about the situation.
The injury occurred as Haliburton was driving towards the basket in the latter part of the first half in Indiana’s narrow 133-131 victory over the Boston Celtics. His fall resulted in an awkward split, causing apparent severe pain. Haliburton had to be carried off the court by teammates, visibly distressed and covered with a towel.
Thankfully, the injury isn’t as severe as initially feared. Haliburton has been having an exceptional season, averaging 23.6 points, 12.5 assists, and 4.2 rebounds per game. His performance has earned him significant recognition, leading Eastern Conference guards in the first round of fan votes for the 2024 All-Star Game.
