[Saba Sports News] The NBA is set to bring back G League sensation Mac McClung for another thrilling performance, as confirmed by Shams Charania of The Athletic. McClung, last season’s Slam Dunk Contest champion, has been invited to defend his title at the 2024 All-Star Weekend Slam Dunk Contest. Standing at 6-foot-2, McClung made history as the first G Leaguer in the contest and stunned audiences with his spectacular dunks, earning perfect scores and the coveted trophy.
Despite not playing in the NBA this season, following brief appearances for the Philadelphia 76ers post-contest last year, McClung has been excelling in the G League. He’s currently scoring an impressive 25.4 points per game for the Osceola Magic, the G League team of the Orlando Magic. McClung is now poised for another spotlight moment at the upcoming All-Star Weekend in Indianapolis, ready to dazzle basketball fans once more.
