Sports News] Mick Schumacher, the son of legendary F1 driver Michael
Schumacher, is currently competing in the World Endurance Championship with the
Alpine team. In a recent interview with the media, he expressed his confidence
in his ability to make a return to Formula 1. Mick stated, “I know I have
the skills and I am good enough. I have proven myself in F4, F3, and F2.
Besides my driving capabilities, I can also handle pressure.” With the
driver market being active and expected changes in the coming months, Mick is
optimistic about his chances of returning to Formula 1. Currently, he serves as
a test and reserve driver for the Mercedes team. As there are no available
seats for the upcoming 2024 season, Mick has decided to participate in the
World Endurance Championship with the Alpine team. The World Endurance
Championship, which originated in 1923, is a renowned endurance racing series
comparable to Formula 1 in terms of influence.
