[Saba Sports News] In November of last year, rumours
emerged suggesting that the Glazer family was contemplating the sale of
Manchester United, which attracted interest from multiple investors. However,
the Glazer family was reportedly dissatisfied with the offers received,
resulting in the suspension of the acquisition process. Yesterday, the
“Manchester Evening News” reported that Manchester United have not
yet released their financial accounts for the period ending in June 2023,
leading to speculation that it may be connected to the ongoing acquisition
discussions. Historical data indicates that over the past 10 years, the Glazer
family typically disclosed Manchester United’s financial accounts in September,
with the exception of 2020 due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Some
fans humorously commented that Manchester United’s accountants are currently
occupied with improving the club’s revenue figures to facilitate negotiations
in the acquisition case involving the Glazer family.
