[Saba Sports News] Prior to the Madrid derby last season, a group of
extreme Atletico Madrid fans hung dolls representing Vinicius Junior. According
to reports from Spanish media, the Madrid Provincial Prosecutor’s Office has
requested a four-year prison sentence for four Atletico Madrid fans who are
members of the extremist organization known as Frente Atletico. The fans in
question are aged 19, 21, 23, and 24. The charges brought against them by the
Public Ministry include threats and violations of fundamental rights and public
freedoms. The prosecution is also seeking a joint civil liability of 6,000
euros for the mental harm caused to the football players, specifically Vinicius
Junior. When the four defendants were arrested in May of this year, they
refused to testify. However, they were later released on bail under certain
conditions, including a prohibition from approaching or communicating with
Vinicius and a ban on attending matches between Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid
in the stadium. It can be speculated that these fans may now regret their
actions.
