[Saba Sports News] Lonzo Ball, sidelined for the 2023-24 NBA season due to injury, is showing positive signs of progress. The Chicago Bulls guard hasn’t played since January 14, 2022, undergoing three knee surgeries without significant improvement until now.
During a recent visit to the Bulls’ training camp, Ball expressed optimism about his recovery, saying, “After the other surgeries, this one has definitely gone the best as far as [the] recovery process.” He noted that in previous recoveries, his progress would plateau and decline, but that hasn’t happened this time.
However, Ball has not yet resumed basketball-related training, citing the mental and physical challenges of the process. If he sticks to his projected return in the 2024-25 season, it will mark over a thousand days away from NBA action.
Despite the extended absence, Ball remains determined to make a comeback, aligning with his earlier statements about returning to play in the future.
