[Saba Sports News] The Turin Prosecutor’s Office has confirmed that
three players, namely Sandro Tonali, Nicolo Zaniolo, and Nicolo Fagioli, have
been charged with participating in illegal gambling activities. According to a
report by “Gazzetta dello Sport,” the players are facing criminal
charges that could result in a maximum sentence of three months in prison or a
fine of 1 million lire. Currently, the charges against the players only involve
gambling on illegal websites, which implies that the penalties may not be too
severe. If the players can reach a plea agreement with the prosecutor prior to
the formal charging of the case, the penalties could be reduced by half.
Similarly, if a plea agreement is reached before the first court hearing, the
penalties may be reduced by one-third.
