[Saba Sports News] On the eve of the World Cup 2023 match between the arch-rivals India and Pakistan, Hasan Ali opened up and said that the pressure will be on the opposite side. The match is all set to be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Saturday, October 14.
In a video released by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on ‘X’ via their social media handle, Hasan, who has picked six wickets so far in two matches against the Netherlands and Sri Lanka, acknowledged that India versus Pakistan is the best sporting rivalry in the world.
“This is the best sporting rivalry in the world. Many players have already spoken about how everyone around the globe tunes into this match. The team is excited for this game, and so am I to play at a venue hosting fans in excess of 100,000. We are looking forward to the game,” said Hasan.
India and Pakistan have faced each other seven times in the ODI World Cup history. Pakistan are yet to open their account as the Men in Blue have won all seven games.
Speaking on the same, Hasan opined that records are meant to be broken, and the Pakistan team will try their level best to bag the game.
He believes that it is India, who will feel more pressure as they are playing on their home ground.
“Records are meant to be broken and we too are looking forward to breaking this jinx of not having beaten India in a 50-over World Cup. It is India who will be under pressure as it is their home ground with fans turning up to support them,” he added.
