[Saba Sports News] Tristan Thompson is set to make a return to the Cleveland Cavaliers. Shams Charania reported on Monday that Thompson is finalizing a deal with the team.
After not playing in the NBA last season, he had a workout with the Los Angeles Lakers but didn’t sign with them.
Thompson, the No. 4 overall pick by the Cavaliers in 2011 from Texas, was part of the Cavaliers’ 2016 NBA championship-winning squad. He had some of his best seasons in 2018-2019 and 2019-2020, recording double-doubles in both seasons.
In the 2021-2022 season, Thompson had stints with the Kings, Pacers, and Bulls.
