Sports News] According to reports from Spanish media, Jota Peletaro, a former
player of La Liga’s Alaves, ventured into business after retiring from
professional football. He established an investment company and made
investments in a technology company called “Groinn.” Groinn offers a
wireless planting system that enables real-time monitoring of crop growth and
provides guidance to farmers. This innovative product, priced at only £175,
quickly gained popularity due to its affordability and practicality,
contrasting with similar products that previously sold for over £25,000. The
company has also entered into a collaboration agreement with the Spanish
government to provide digital agricultural assistance. It is projected that by
2025, the company will be valued at £600 million. As a shareholder, Peletaro
has undoubtedly amassed significant wealth, with the company’s value currently
ten times his initial investment. Peletaro, who is 32 years old, has played for
various teams such as Celta Vigo, Real Madrid’s second team Castilla,
Brentford, Aston Villa, and Alaves. In October 2022, Jota made the decision to
retire from professional football.
