[Saba Sports News] Juventus star Nicolo Fagioli has
received a seven-month ban for his participation in football betting. Following
the suspension, Fagioli granted an exclusive interview to Italian media, where
he disclosed details about the incident. Fagioli revealed that Sandro Tonali
had recommended the betting platform to him. He had placed bets on various
matches, including games involving Turin and Milan, but he vehemently asserted that
he never bet on Juventus games. Fagioli had borrowed money from teammates such
as Federico Gatti and Radu Dragusin, and he faced aggressive debt collection
tactics as a result, owing a sum of 3 million euros. At the time, he was
threatened with physical harm if he failed to repay the debt. Some fans praised
Gatti for his generosity, highlighting that despite his relatively modest
salary, he lent money to Fagioli.
