[Saba Sports News] Christian Horner, the general manager of Red Bull
Racing, has been honored with the Commander of the Order of the British Empire
by King Charles III. The Order of the British Empire is part of the British
Royal Honours System and is awarded to individuals who have made exceptional
contributions both domestically and internationally. The order consists of five
ranks: Knight Grand Cross, Knight Commander, Commander, Officer, and Member.
Only British citizens who have received the highest two ranks are granted
knighthood and can use the title “Sir/Dame” before their names.
Therefore, Horner is just one step away from receiving knighthood. Horner has
served as the general manager of Red Bull’s Formula One team since 2005 and was
once the youngest team principal in the world of Formula One. Five years after
assuming the role, Red Bull Racing clinched the championship title. Under
Horner’s skilled leadership, the team has excelled not only on the track but
also in the pit lane, establishing their power station home base as a social
hub. Red Bull Base Camp has become a unique gathering place for celebrities and
dignitaries, setting a precedent in the world of Formula One.
