[Saba Sports News] FIFA will comprehensively implement the Football
Agents Regulations (FFAR) from October 1, which includes the compulsory
engagement of licensed football agents, the introduction of a cap on transfer
service fees, and other new regulations. It is widely believed that exorbitant
signing commissions will become a thing of the past. As of October 1, only
individuals holding a FIFA-recognized agent license will be eligible to provide
football agent services. Agents found to be in violation of the transfer
commission limit will face revocation of their agent license. During the
initial two examinations conducted by FIFA, around 4,500 football agent
licenses were issued. FIFA considers the FFAR to establish a fair and
appropriate framework for the football market, aiming to address
transfer-related confusion.
