[Saba Sports News] Bismack Biyombo is reportedly in good health following a frightening incident earlier this week. The incident occurred during a game on Wednesday when the Oklahoma City Thunder’s Biyombo, while seated on the bench in his warmups, unexpectedly fell backward to the ground during a timeout. The scene, captured on the broadcast, showed Thunder staff promptly attending to him, with teammates quickly gathering in concern.
Thankfully, Biyombo was able to stand and walk to the locker room by himself. He underwent an evaluation by the Trail Blazers’ medical team at the Moda Center and was not found to have any serious health conditions. Biyombo later updated his X account, reassuring everyone that dehydration led to his fainting. He mentioned his 15-year commitment to fasting as part of his spiritual practice and expressed gratitude for the outpouring of concern and affection.
He humorously remarked in a later post that the incident was a divine reminder to stay humble. Now in his 13th NBA season, the 31-year-old center, who was picked seventh overall and had a stint with the Memphis Grizzlies this season before joining the Thunder, has played in four games for Oklahoma City, contributing minimally in limited minutes.
