[Saba Sports News] Recently, Thai badminton
player Rawinda Prajongjai shared photos on social media of her teammate
Sitthikom Thammasin’s proposal, capturing the attention of fans. In the photos,
Thammasin can be seen kneeling on one knee, proposing to Prajongjai, who was
pleasantly surprised. The heartfelt moment has garnered comments and likes from
netizens. According to information, 30-year-old Rawinda is 1.62 meters tall and
is a women’s doubles player. She has been partnering with Jongkolphan
Kititharakul for over 10 years, and their highest world ranking in women’s
doubles was fifth. They recently finished as runners-up in the women’s team
event at the 2024 Asian Badminton Team Championships representing Thailand.
Based on current Olympic points, Rawinda and Jongkolphan are ranked 10th as a
pair, giving them a strong chance to represent Thailand at the Paris Olympics.
Thammasin, who is two years younger than Rawinda and stands at 1.85 meters, is
a men’s singles player. However, his international results have been somewhat
inferior compared to his girlfriend. His highest world ranking has only reached
21st. Thammasin has been in a semi-retired state since the Thailand Badminton
Open in early June last year. Additionally, with the emergence of Kunlavut
Vitidsarn, Thammasin’s position as Thailand’s top male player has been taken
over by the younger generation.
