[Saba Sports News] Red Bull Racing confirmed that Japanese driver Yuki Tsunoda will drive the RB20 car during the post-season Formula 1 testing in Abu Dhabi in December, marking Tsunoda’s first time driving the latest Red Bull F1 car on track. Previously, Tsunoda had tested Red Bull’s RB18 car but only during the Goodwood Festival of Speed. However, the testing in Abu Dhabi will be more serious as Tsunoda will experience Red Bull’s championship-level car in a race environment. Media speculation suggests that this testing opportunity mainly comes from Red Bull’s engine supplier Honda. Honda Racing Company President Koji Watanabe expressed hope that Tsunoda would have the chance to drive for Red Bull’s main team during an interview. The testing is scheduled for Tuesday after the season finale, where participating teams must drive two cars during the test. One car must be driven by a driver holding an official F1 super license primarily to provide tire data for Pirelli; the other must be driven by a young driver who has not participated in more than two F1 Grand Prix races in their career.
