Sports News] Former Chinese women’s badminton player Xie Xingfang recently
expressed her exhaustion while watching football with her children, comparing
it to playing games. The Major League Soccer team Inter Miami visited Hong
Kong, China, for a club friendly match, and Xie Xingfang, along with her
husband Lin Dan and their baby, attended the game. They shared a photo of their
family watching the match on social media, with Xie Xingfang captioning it with
a complaint: “I haven’t been to Hong Kong for a long time. Taking care of
the kids is more tiring than competing.” Lin Dan, a two-time Olympic gold
medalist and five-time world champion, officially announced his retirement from
the Chinese national team on July 4, 2020. Xie Xingfang, his wife, retired in
November 2009. Throughout her career, she achieved multiple world championships
and Olympic medals, making significant contributions to China’s badminton
industry. Ultimately, the highly anticipated football event in Hong Kong turned
into a disappointment. Argentine football star Lionel Messi returned to the
Hong Kong Stadium, but the match didn’t live up to expectations. Another star
player, Suarez, warmed up on the sidelines but did not play, leaving the more than
38,000 fans in the audience disappointed.
