Sports News] In the 32nd round of the Premier League, Wolves suffered a 1-2
defeat at home against West Ham United. An incident of note occurred when Max
Kilman scored a last-minute equalizer for Wolves, only for the goal to be
subsequently disallowed by VAR. The reason cited was that Wolves’ player,
Qiliwa, was in an offside position and obstructed West Ham goalkeeper Lukasz
Fabianski. Following the match, Wolves coach Gary O’Neil expressed his strong
disapproval of the referee’s decision, stating, “Myself, David Moyes, and
Fabianski all believe this penalty call is scandalous. It’s very bad, and I
don’t understand it. Honestly, I can’t think of any explanation. It’s one of
the worst calls I’ve ever seen.” O’Neil emphasized that no explanation
could alleviate the frustration felt by Wolves. Despite the disappointment,
O’Neil praised his team’s performance, acknowledging the challenges they faced
and commending the players for their efforts. He stated that given their
current circumstances, the players’ performance was commendable. However, he
expressed his disbelief and disappointment at the manner in which they lost the
game.
