[Saba Sports News] The F1-themed movie “Apex”, starring Hollywood superstar Brad Pitt and produced by seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton, has been affected by the Screen Actors Guild strike and is not expected to be released until early 2025. Recently, Max Verstappen, the champion driver from Red Bull Racing, shared his thoughts on the upcoming F1 film. Verstappen stated that he is not interested in F1-themed movies as they depict fictional stories with exaggerated drama that does not reflect real-life scenarios. However, Verstappen did mention that he is a fan of Pitt and has enjoyed his performances in movies like “Ocean’s Eleven” and “Ocean’s Twelve.” Pitt’s iconic roles have been a part of Verstappen’s life as he grew up. According to available information, “Apex” revolves around the story of a retired racing driver who returns to competition to face challenges from younger opponents and seeks personal growth. Some fans have jokingly commented that, given the rivalry between Hamilton and Verstappen, Verstappen would need to maintain a distance from Hamilton due to their public personas and brand sponsorships. Even if Verstappen liked the movie, it would be unlikely for him to openly express it in front of the camera.
