[Saba Sports News] To prepare for the implementation of new F1 regulations in 2026, many teams have begun developing new cars vigorously. Additionally, some teams are reportedly seeking more outstanding drivers, with rumors circulating that Mercedes wants to sign Max Verstappen for 2026. However, Verstappen recently denied this during a media interview, stating that he has had no contact with Mercedes at all. This sparked considerable discussion among media outlets since Mercedes team principal Toto Wolf had previously publicly stated that he had negotiated with Verstappen and his team. Recently, Verstappen has not been happy on the track; before the summer break, he went four consecutive races without a win for the first time in over three years. It is believed that on another note, Red Bull’s declining competitiveness may also become an important reason for Verstappen to consider leaving the team.
