[Saba Sports News] Red Bull Racing’s Max Verstappen and McLaren’s Lando Norris are good friends, but their friendship has come under pressure due to conflicts at the Austrian Grand Prix. After the Austrian Grand Prix, they initially avoided each other but quickly reconciled under public pressure. As their former teammate, Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz stated in an interview with Spanish GQ: the bond of their friendship is about to be broken. Sainz pointed out that they both grew up together in lower-tier events, have known each other for many years, and have great respect and admiration for each other. They understand how much risk they take on the track and how much pressure they face. However, as seen at the Austrian Grand Prix: once friction occurs or collisions happen, that respect can quickly disappear. Then drivers sometimes go through a low period where they are no longer as close. Over time, that feeling of friendship gradually fades away and is forgotten little by little.
