[Saba Sports News] According to British media reports, UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer has faced criticism for accepting free use of a home box from Arsenal Football Club. Starmer is a loyal Arsenal fan and has attended several matches at Arsenal’s home ground. However, it was revealed by the media that Starmer accepted free use of a home box from Arsenal (with box prices starting at £8,750 per match), which has drawn considerable criticism. In response, Starmer defended himself in an interview with ITV, stating: “I have been a season ticket holder for Arsenal for a long time; I go to matches every year with my son and friends. But now that I am Prime Minister, security advice suggests that I cannot enter the general stands to watch the game. Or if I do, it would require stricter security measures, which would cost taxpayers a significant amount of money. Therefore, I received tickets in other areas of the stadium (the box), which is safer, and we do not have to spend taxpayers’ money on enhanced security measures.” This is why he accepted the free box hospitality.
