Sports News] According to reports from Korean media, Ui-jo Hwang’s
sister-in-law has submitted a handwritten confession to the Women and
Children’s Crime Investigation Department of the Central District Prosecutor’s
Office in Seoul, South Korea. In her confession, she admitted to distributing
an indecent video involving Ui-jo Hwang. The sister-in-law expressed her
grievances in the confession, stating that she and her husband had sacrificed
their stable life in Korea to support Hwang’s success overseas for five years.
However, when Hwang was preparing to join an English team last year, conflicts
arose between them due to differences of opinion. This led her to feel betrayed,
as she believed their efforts and support had gone unrecognized by Hwang. She
mentioned that she had given up her studies and dreams for his career,
deepening her sense of betrayal. Upon discovering the indecent video on Hwang’s
phone, the sister-in-law admitted to attempting to use it as a means of
leverage to make him realize their importance. She clarified that she edited
the video to conceal the other person’s face and that her intention was to
punish Hwang rather than ruin his career.
