[Saba Sports News] Bangladesh’s Under-19 team made a remarkable entry into the Asia Cup final after a thrilling win over India. Ariful Islam’s dynamic half-century and Maruf Mridha’s four-wicket haul clinched a four-wicket victory in Dubai.
India, choosing to bat first, struggled at 61/6 but were steadied by Musheer Khan and Murugan Abhishek’s fifties. Bangladesh, initially at 34/3, was rescued by a 138-run partnership between Ahrar Amin and Ariful Islam.
In the first semifinal, UAE stunned Pakistan with an 11-run win, marking their entry into the final. UAE’s captain Aayan Afzal Khan and Aryansh Sharma made significant contributions, setting a target of 193. Pakistan, misjudging the chase, succumbed to UAE’s tight bowling and fielding, ending at 182 runs.
The UAE will face Bangladesh in the Under-19 Asia Cup final on December 17 in Dubai.
