[Saba Sports News] During Monday’s game against the Boston Celtics, Indiana Pacers guard Tyrese Haliburton endured a distressing injury. The incident occurred as Haliburton, attempting to evade Celtics guard Derrick White, slipped and inadvertently did a painful-looking split. This left him in considerable agony on the court.
The concerned home crowd at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis watched in silence as Haliburton was assisted off the floor to the Pacers’ locker room. He was later diagnosed with a left hamstring strain.
At the time of his exit, Haliburton had contributed 7 points and 6 assists to the game. Having emerged as a standout player in the 2023-24 NBA season, Haliburton had received significant recognition, leading to his first All-Star selection. He was leading Eastern Conference guards in the initial round of fan votes for the 2024 All-Star Game. Entering the game, he boasted an impressive average of 24.2 points and a league-high 12.7 assists per game over 32 appearances.
