[Saba Sports News] Recently, Roy Keane spoke about why he didn’t participate in the Manchester United and Celtic legends match. Keane said: “I’m not in good enough shape. I’m still far from being able to return to the pitch. My body is in an awkward situation. Even though my weight hasn’t increased, that doesn’t mean I’m in a healthy state. I really can’t run right now. Let’s put it this way: over the past few years, I’ve often been invited to take part in these legends matches. But I simply can’t participate because I’m unable to run due to the numerous injuries I’ve had in the past. I’ve always tried to maintain a reasonable diet because I worry about gaining a lot of weight. But right now, I’m certainly not in a healthy condition because I can’t do any running at all.” Keane made 475 appearances for Manchester United before transferring to Celtic, where he only played 11 matches before retiring.
