[Saba Sports News] The Minnesota Timberwolves have added another former Utah Jazz player to their roster.
According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, the Timberwolves are signing forward Joe Ingles in free agency on a one-year deal. Ingles, 36, is well-known for his stint with the Utah Jazz from 2014-22, where he played alongside current Timberwolves Rudy Gobert and Mike Conley. During their time together, they made three playoff appearances and won a division title. Conley joined them in 2019, resulting in three more playoff appearances and two additional division titles.
With the departure of Kyle Anderson in free agency, Minnesota needed a playmaker off the bench. Ingles, despite his limited mobility, shot 43.5 percent from three-point range last season with the Orlando Magic and is capable of effectively managing a second-unit offense. His familiarity with Gobert and Conley should further aid his integration into the team.
