[Saba Sports News] Behind-the-scenes photos of
the TV series “Senna,” based on the life of F1 racing legend Ayrton
Senna da Silva, have been unveiled. The series is set to be streamed on Netflix
in the near future. It is reported that the series will consist of eight
episodes, chronicling Senna’s journey from his move to the UK to compete in the
Ford 1600 Championship in 1981, all the way to his participation in the San
Marino F1 Grand Prix in 1994, providing an insight into the thrilling life of
this revered racing icon. Senna, hailing from Sao Paulo, Brazil, joined the
Durman Racing Team in 1984, marking the beginning of his F1 career. Throughout
his illustrious tenure, he took part in 161 Grand Prix races, claiming 65 pole
positions and winning the Grand Prix championship 41 times. Senna secured three
F1 world championships in 1988, 1990, and 1991. Tragically, on May 1, 1994,
Senna’s car malfunctioned during the San Marino Grand Prix, causing him to veer
off the track at a speed of 300 kilometers per hour and collide with a protective
wall. Despite being rushed to the hospital, Senna, unfortunately, succumbed to
his injuries at the age of 34. Many fans regard Senna as a symbol of hope for
his home country, the embodiment of the spirit of F1 racing, and the ultimate
rain master.
