[Saba Sports News] According to the latest announcement by the International Badminton Federation, the World Badminton Federation has confirmed that India’s 2020 Tokyo Paralympic champion, Pramod Bhagat, has been suspended for 18 months. The reason for his suspension is that the Court of Arbitration for Sport’s Anti-Doping Division ruled that Pramod failed to report his whereabouts within 12 months, violating the World Badminton Federation’s anti-doping regulations. The World Badminton Federation’s anti-doping regulations have always been an important criterion for ensuring fair play in badminton events. In recent years, many athletes have attracted attention for violating these regulations. The World Badminton Federation has clear and strict rules regarding anti-doping. Athletes must comply with a series of requirements and guidelines, including accurately reporting their whereabouts to undergo doping tests at any time. The use of substances and methods listed as doping agents is strictly prohibited. For example, certain drugs, hormones, or substances that enhance athletic performance are explicitly prohibited. In addition, caution must be exercised in the consumption of food and nutritional supplements to prevent the inadvertent intake of prohibited substances.
