[Saba Sports News] According to recent reports from Malaysian media, Datuk V. Subramaniam will take on the role of acting president of the Malaysian Badminton Association after the Paris Olympics, succeeding former president Tan Sri Norza Zakaria. In an interview with the media, Subramaniam confirmed this, stating, “Once I assume the role of acting president, I will continue the work initiated by Tan Sri. Our focus will remain on development and planning, as these aspects are crucial for badminton. All tasks hold significance, but our utmost responsibility lies in taking charge.” With years of management experience in domestic badminton, Subramaniam has been involved in Malaysian badminton since 1988. He ascended to the presidency of the Selangor Badminton Association of Malaysia in 2007 and later became the vice president of the Badminton Association of Malaysia. In 2021, he was elected as the acting president of the association during the re-election.
