[Saba Sports News] According to British media reports, Raheem Sterling rejected an offer from Saudi Arabia for a weekly salary of £650,000 and chose to join Arsenal. Reports indicate that Saudi Arabia had offered a weekly salary of £650,000 in hopes of signing Sterling, which is nearly double what he earned at Chelsea. However, Sterling insisted on transferring to Arsenal, believing that helping the Gunners win titles is more important than money. Additionally, Sterling has another goal: to return to the England national team for the 2026 World Cup. Chelsea had informed Sterling twice about Saudi interest, indicating that the club had previously been in contact with Saudi representatives. Nevertheless, Sterling still declined. Previously, Sterling was excluded from Chelsea’s first-team squad and stripped of his jersey number. Enzo Maresca clearly stated that he was no longer part of the team’s plans. On transfer deadline day, this England winger finally got his wish and was loaned to Arsenal. Reports suggest that Arsenal will cover £100,000 of Sterling’s weekly salary while Chelsea will cover the remaining £250,000.
