[Saba Sports News] During the F1 US Grand Prix, a serious track invasion incident occurred. About 200 spectators ignored regulations and trespassed onto the track while cars were still racing. Videos revealed that the spectators climbed over fences, jumped from a height of 2 meters into a service corridor, crawled through debris protection nets, and scaled a track wall about 1 meter high, ultimately breaching into the main straight area. Fortunately, this incident did not result in any injuries. In response to this event, the FIA has required the local event promoter to submit a rectification plan by December 31, 2024. Additionally, the local promoter was fined €500,000 for poor management, with €350,000 of that being suspended on the condition that no similar incidents occur before December 31, 2026. The last time spectators trespassed onto a track in F1 history was during the 2015 Singapore Grand Prix when a spectator was seen walking along the track during the race. The event immediately displayed yellow flags and deployed the safety car. After the race, this reckless spectator was arrested by Singapore police.
