[Saba Sports News] In 2023, Red Bull Racing
dominated the F1 season, with their leading driver Max Verstappen having won 19
out of 22 Grand Prix races, placing him third in the historical rankings. As
the new year approaches and drivers prepare for the 2024 F1 season, they must
apply to the FIA, the sport’s governing body, to obtain a super license. The
fee for the license is determined based on the driver’s points. For the
upcoming season, the FIA will charge a new record fee for Max Verstappen’s
super license, amounting to 1.2 million euros, due to his 575 points. This
makes Verstappen the first driver to be charged over 1 million euros for a
super license. His fee is 600,000 euros higher than that of Sergio Perez, who
ranks second in the points standings, highlighting Verstappen’s dominance in
F1. The editor believes that Verstappen possesses exceptional talent,
potentially making him the most gifted driver in the history of F1 in terms of
natural abilities.
