[Saba Sports News] Red Bull’s lead driver Max Verstappen has gone six consecutive races without a win. After leaving the Monza circuit last weekend, he described his RB20 car as “a monster.” McLaren is closing in on Red Bull in the constructors’ standings, with only an 8-point gap, putting Red Bull at risk of losing the 2024 Constructors’ Championship. In the drivers’ standings, Verstappen’s lead over Lando Norris has narrowed to just 62 points. Red Bull’s racing advisor Helmut Marko acknowledged that they need to support Verstappen; otherwise, he risks losing the drivers’ championship. Yesterday, media reports suggested that the Red Bull F1 team had made “conclusive findings” to reverse the RB20’s slump. Marko has made progress in stopping the car’s decline and has found a solution to revive the RB20. He revealed that they conducted tire tests at Monza, made adjustments, and identified where they had gone wrong. With the right technical changes, the car should regain its balance. However, due to time constraints, it will be difficult to make improvements for the upcoming races in Baku and Singapore, but they believe they will see a turnaround at the Austin Grand Prix.
