[Saba Sports News] In a unique remark, Pakistan batter Babar Azam rated the Pakistan Super League (PSL) better than the Indian Premier League (IPL), giving the former the title of the best league in the world.
While in terms of viewership and quality of players, IPL, a T20 tournament where most of the international stars are seen, holds an edge over PSL, Babar’s assessment did not come as a surprise as he himself appears in the Pakistani league.
The 29-year-old is the highest run-scorer in the PSL history, amassing 2935 runs in 79 matches, including one hundred and 28 fifties.
“PSL is the best league in the world,” said Babar as quoted in a live session on X.
Babar has never played in the IPL due to a ban laid out on the Pakistan players in 2009 after political tensions between the two neighbouring countries resurfaced.
