[Saba Sports News] Fresh insights have emerged regarding Isaiah Stewart’s altercation last month, reminiscent of an MMA skirmish. This week, a police report lodged by Phoenix Suns’ Drew Eubanks hours after Detroit Pistons’ Stewart allegedly struck him on February 14.
Eubanks recounted Stewart confronting him over a prior game incident, dismissing it as typical on-court exchanges. Stewart reportedly initiated a hostile encounter, challenging Eubanks to “run it back” then, despite Eubanks’ attempt to leave, escalated the confrontation, leading to Stewart punching him in the mouth.
Described by Eubanks as a “sucker punch,” it resulted in bleeding gums and dental discomfort. Eubanks initially pressed charges, leading to Stewart’s arrest, but later withdrew, leading to the charge being dropped.
Nonetheless, the NBA imposed a suspension on Stewart, who has a history of heated incidents, notably one involving LeBron James.
