[Saba Sports News] With the approaching 2024
Thomas and Uber Cup, the badminton fever in Chengdu, the host city, is on the
rise. At Paotongshu Primary School in Chengdu, there is a physical teacher
named Lai Minghang who employs “magic” to ignite the students’
passion for badminton. Lai Minghang, leveraging his background as a national
first-level badminton referee and his English major qualifications, has found a
special way to captivate every student and welcome the arrival of the 2024
Thomas and Uber Cup. Understanding the importance of making badminton appealing
to students, Lai Minghang focuses on making the sport interesting and
enjoyable. He also emphasizes to parents that badminton contributes to learning
and the development of students’ thinking abilities. With this in mind, Lai
Minghang came up with the idea of incorporating English language teaching into
his badminton classes, offering a bilingual curriculum that helps improve
students’ English communication skills while they engage in physical exercise.
Additionally, Lai Minghang has created his own badminton aerobics, blending
badminton-related technical movements with gymnastics. This allows students to
experience the allure of badminton in a relaxed and enjoyable environment,
ultimately fostering a love for the sport.
