[Saba Sports News] The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) provided an update on Naseem Shah’s recovery status, sharing that the fast-bowler is in the final stage of the rehabilitation process.
In a press release issued on Wednesday, the PCB revealed that Naseem has returned to Pakistan after undergoing a right shoulder surgery in the United Kingdom.
He spent the last two months in the UK for rehabilitation as the PCB covered all of the medical costs.
Currently in Lahore, Naseem has entered into the final stage of his recovery process with a strength and conditioning coach, a physiotherapist and a doctor observing him closely.
As reported by the PCB, the 20-year-old has started light gym exercises and partial bowling. He will begin his batting training on Thursday.
For the unversed, Naseem got ruled out midway through the Asia Cup 2023 due to a shoulder injury. He also had to miss the ODI World Cup 2023.
He recently got traded to Islamabad United from Quetta Gladiators and there is a great possibility that he will be making his comeback in the upcoming season of the Pakistan Super League.
