[Saba Sports News] “Patrick Beverley, known for his trash-talking prowess, didn’t waste any time firing shots after the Philadelphia 76ers’ Saturday night victory. The Sixers defeated the Toronto Raptors 114-107 at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Canada.
Even before the game, Beverley had taken aim at the Raptors. In a recent podcast episode, he boldly declared that he wasn’t afraid of any Raptors players and asserted that none of them were the kind of “dogs” he’d fear in a dark alley brawl. Beverley specifically mentioned Pascal Siakam and OG Anunoby in his remarks.
While the Raptors initially held the lead in the first half, they faltered in the third quarter, allowing the Sixers to take control with a 35-20 advantage.
After the win, Beverley didn’t back down from his earlier comments about the Raptors. He posted a succinct message on social media, saying, “Like I said. No dogs.”
Siakam didn’t perform at his best against the Sixers, attempting only 8 shots and finishing with 11 points and 7 rebounds. Anunoby was sidelined due to injury.
Despite playing just 17 minutes off the bench and scoring only 2 points on 1-of-2 shooting, Beverley continued his trash-talking streak, making him one of the few players in NBA history to engage in such bravado after a below-average performance.
