[Saba Sports News] Recently, PSG president Nasser AI-Khelaifi expressed in an interview that the club hopes to leave Parc des Princes due to disagreements with the government regarding stadium acquisition matters. The Mayor of Paris insists on wanting PSG to remain at Parc des Princes but has not budged on selling it. Mayor Anne Hidalgo recently shared her views on Parc des Princes during an interview again. She stated that she sees no other place for PSG besides Parc des Princes; although Qatar remains silent on this matter, she still holds an open attitude towards negotiations. It is worth mentioning that PSG has signed a 30-year lease agreement with the Paris city government that lasts until 2044 with an annual rent of 2.5 million euros. It is believed that Mayor Hidalgo’s refusal to sell Parc des Princes may stem from its significant symbolic meaning and cultural value for Paris as it serves not only as a venue for sporting events but also as one of the city’s important landmarks carrying Paris’s history and citizens’ emotions.
