[Saba Sports News] Dallas Mavericks superstar Luka Doncic received high praise from Orlando Magic forward Paolo Banchero, who summed him up in one word: “Gangster.”
Banchero isn’t alone in his admiration. Since entering the league in 2018, Doncic has built an impressive resume, including five All-NBA selections and leading the league in scoring during the 2023-24 season (33.9 points per game). Despite missing the playoffs in 2023, Doncic and Kyrie Irving formed a powerful duo, leading the Mavericks to the NBA Finals the following season, though they fell short to the Celtics. Doncic averaged 28.9 points, 9.5 assists, and 8.7 rebounds in the playoffs.
Other NBA legends like Allen Iverson and Shaquille O’Neal have also praised Doncic’s streetball-like style, with Iverson marveling at his 73-point game and Shaq admiring his swag on the court. Jamal Crawford echoed Banchero’s sentiment, calling Doncic a “gangster” for his elite handles and flashy moves.
As the Mavericks gear up for the 2024-25 season, Doncic will once again bring his unique style and swagger, aiming for another NBA Finals appearance.
