Piastri, the 22-year-old Formula One sensation, has become a prominent figure
in the world of sports. Making his debut with McLaren, he achieved remarkable
success, securing two podium finishes and earning the title of Rookie of the
Year. Recently, Piastri took on a new role as a partner with adventure brand
Quad Lock, participating in a campaign called “Keep Your Hands Off It.”
The partnership aims to raise awareness about the dangers of using mobile
phones while driving and encourage Australians to prioritize road safety.
According to statistics from Transport for NSW, there were 191 accidents
involving drivers or riders using hand-held mobile phones between 2012 and
2019. Piastri emphasized that safety is of utmost importance to him, both on
and off the race track, as a professional driver. With his appealing appearance
and successful racing career, he has become an idol for the younger generation
in Australia. His active involvement in public welfare activities, advocating
for road safety, not only captures the attention of more young people but also
serves as a positive influence on society.
