[Saba Sports News] Pitchamon Opatniput, a
17-year-old badminton prodigy from Thailand, gained widespread attention and
admiration after winning the women’s singles gold medal at the World Youth
Badminton Championships last year. In a recent interview with the media, she
revealed that her idol in the sport is Tai Tzu Ying, a women’s singles player
from Chinese Taipei who is currently ranked among the top players in the world.
Pitchamon comes from a badminton family, with her father being of mixed Chinese
and Thai descent and working as a badminton coach. As a result, she has been
exposed to the sport from a young age. She achieved her first career
championship at the 2022 Swedish Open, capturing the spotlight due to her
height and good looks. Standing at 170 centimeters tall, she possesses a
graceful presence on the court with her fair and slender legs, complemented by
a pure and sweet face. Pitchamon has garnered a significant following on her
social media platforms, with thousands of fans expressing their support and
admiration for her. Her success at such a young age and her choice of Tai Tzu
Ying as her idol have further contributed to her growing popularity and
recognition in the badminton world.
