[Saba Sports News] McLaren CEO Zak Brown recently
reiterated his stance on Lando Norris in a interview, stating that they would
not entertain “any offers for Norris” even if the other party were to
offer £100 million. The team’s budget is robust, and there is no need to sell
their driver to secure funds. While McLaren’s contract with Norris expires at
the end of 2025, certain media outlets had previously reported that Red Bull
Racing expressed significant interest in Norris and engaged in extensive discussions
with him. However, Zak Brown refuted these reports, affirming that there is no
indication that McLaren would consider parting ways with Norris, as he remains
a valuable asset to the team. From the editor’s perspective, Norris’s
fourth-place finish in last year’s Austrian Grand Prix, while driving the
upgraded MCL60, marked a milestone in McLaren’s resurgence in Formula 1. Norris
possesses the potential to become an F1 World Champion.
