[Saba Sports News] Newcastle United player Sandro
Tonali has received a global ban from football due to his involvement in
gambling. Newcastle recognise the seriousness of the situation and will organise
educational programs on anti-gambling for their players to raise awareness
about the potential risks associated with gambling. While current regulations
in England allow players to place bets on sports other than football, Newcastle
United executives believe that professional athletes are more susceptible to
developing gambling addiction issues and should receive preventative
ideological education. Previously, Brentford forward Ivan Toney was suspended
by the Football Association for eight months due to his involvement in gambling
activities.
