[Saba Sports News] The NBA has handed down a four-game suspension to Joshua Primo, a former San Antonio Spurs guard. This action comes after the league’s investigation found that he exposed himself to multiple women. The announcement of the suspension was made on Friday, with the league citing Primo’s engagement in inappropriate and offensive behavior.
NBA officials characterized his actions as “conduct detrimental to the league,” although they clarified that there was no evidence of any sexual or other misconduct beyond these instances of exposure.
The league stated that Primo contends his actions were unintentional. Dr. Hillary Cauthen, Primo’s former therapist, initially brought forward these allegations, asserting that he had exposed himself to her on nine separate occasions in the previous fall. Dr. Cauthen’s attorney, Tony Buzbee, alleged that the Spurs were aware of Primo’s actions but failed to take any action.
Subsequently, Cauthen filed a lawsuit against Primo and the Spurs. Primo’s attorney at that time vehemently denied the allegations, describing them as either a complete fabrication, a significant exaggeration, or pure fantasy.
Primo, who was released by the Spurs in October 2022, had been the 12th overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft. Before the allegations came to light, he had played in just 54 games, averaging 5.9 points and 1.8 assists per game.
