[Saba Sports News] While the Miami Heat missed out on Damian Lillard, Tyler Herro’s future with the team remains uncertain. Herro was a key piece in the proposed Lillard trade, but the Heat may continue exploring trade options for the young shooting guard.
According to Salt Lake City sports radio host Tim Montemayor, the Heat have engaged in trade discussions with the Utah Jazz. Montemayor identifies Herro as a ‘name to watch,’ suggesting the Jazz are motivated to strike a deal.
The Jazz might not include All-Star Lauri Markkanen or standout sophomore Walker Kessler in trade talks but could offer veterans like Jordan Clarkson, Collin Sexton, John Collins, Kelly Olynyk, or Talen Horton-Tucker. The Heat, having lost several players this offseason, may prioritize bolstering their supporting cast.
Herro, at just 23, could align well with the Jazz’s rebuilding efforts, alongside Markkanen and Kessler. Herro averaged 20.1 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 4.2 assists in 67 games last season, but trade rumors continue to swirl around the Kentucky alum.
